There are 250 active stations of the Moscow Metro. Of these, 209 on Moscow Metro proper, and some additional ones that are marketed by Moscow Metro: 6 stations of Moscow Monorail and 31 stations of the Moscow Central Circle. Leninsky Prospekt (Moscow Metro)
Leninsky Prospekt (russian: Ленинский проспект English: Lenin Avenue) is a station on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It was built in 1962 to a variant of the standard column tri-span design, which included a more vaulted central span. The pillars are faced with white marble with a strip of gray at the base and the outer walls are tiled. The original metal light fixtures still run the length of each platform span were replaced in 2004 with more utilitarian fluorescent fixtures. The architects of the station are A. Strelkov, Nina Alexandrovna Aleshin, Yuriy Vdovin, V. Polikarpov and A. Marova.
