Please Leave
"Please Leave" is a song by Australian alternative rock band Jebediah. It was released on 13 March 2000 as the third and final single from the band's second studio album, ''Of Someday Shambles''. "Please Leave" was co-written by all four band members, Chris Daymond, Brett Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell and Vanessa Thornton. Brett, the group's drummer, in a run through ''Of Someday Shambles'' track list, described it as "The lost song. We played it at Planet (in Perth) before ''Slightly Odway''. Kevin had written out the lyrics and gaffa taped them to Vanessa's back. After that we totally forgot about it and Chris found the lyric sheet in a guitar case somewhere." "Please Leave" peaked at number 53 on the ARIA Singles Chart. It polled at number 30 on Triple J's Hottest 100 for 2000. After winning the National Campus Band Competition, the group were brought to national attention when their 1996 single "Jerks of Attention" received heavy airplay on Australian alternative radio station Triple J – which was followed by their breakthrough debut album, ''Slightly Odway'' (8 September 1997). Rhibosome
Rhibosome were a three piece electronic outfit, which formed in Perth in 1998. They issued a self-titled album via Hydrofunk Records in May 2002. The group performed at various festivals in Australia before they disbanded in 2004. History Rhibosome began in 1998 in Perth by two ex-members of Whak, a street theatre percussion group. Clayton Chipper and Dave McKinney began Rhibosome by fusing "live drumming and percussion with electronica." Later that year they performed at festivals in Canada, Singapore, Darwin and Melbourne. McKinney later reminisced: We had a machine each, like a bike, sorta like a Sulo bin filled with wheelchair batteries and a chassis bolted to the back. The Grates were an Australian indie rock band that formed in Brisbane, Queensland in 2002.
