Playmaker Music is an American record label, founded by producer Chadron (“Nitti”) Moore in 2007. It operates through, and is distributed by, Warner Music Groups’ Warner Bros. Records. History On April 4, 2007, Warner Bros. Records announced that it had struck up a label deal with Grammy-nominated producer Chadron (“Nitti”) Moore to launch Playmaker Music. Under the terms of the deal, WBR will market, promote, and distribute new artists that Nitti (who was previously a staff producer for So So Def Recordings), signs to the label. Nitti (producer)
Chadron Moore, better known by his stage name Nitti Beatz, is an American Grammy- Nominated record producer who has been active since 2000 and signed to So So Def Recordings from 2005 to 2008. He was credited as a producer on 8Ball's second album ''Almost Famous''. He did production work on many projects released through Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label. He founded the production company Playmaker Music in 2002, in which they sign artists, producers, & songwriters to deals under this imprint. Nitti plays many different instruments. So So Def Recordings is an American record label based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, and owned by producer Jermaine Dupri, specializing in Southern hip hop, R&B and bass music. So So Def has managed artists such as Bow Wow, Kris Kross, TLC, and Usher. Beginnings So So Def was established in 1993 as a spin-off of Dupri's production company of the same moniker, through a joint venture with Sony and Columbia. Its first act was Xscape, whose debut album was released in the fall of the same year and went Platinum—as did their 2nd and 3rd albums, released in 1995 and 1998.
