Players Amateur
The Players Amateur was an annual amateur golf tournament. It was played from 2000 to 2019. It was organized by the Heritage Classic Foundation, which also sponsored the RBC Heritage on the PGA Tour. It was last played at Berkeley Hall Club in Bluffton, South Carolina. Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not use a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game. Courses typically have either 18 or 9 ''holes'', regions of terrain that each contain a ''cup'', the hole that receives the ball. Ben Curtis (golfer)
Ben Clifford Curtis (born May 26, 1977) is an American professional golfer and 4-time winner on the PGA Tour, best known for winning the 2003 Open Championship. In January 2018, Curtis told ''Golf Digest'' that he has stopped playing golf competitively, opting to teach instead. Early career Curtis was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in Ostrander. Michael Sims (born February 17, 1958 in Crossville, TN) is an American nonfiction writer. William Harlan Haas (born May 24, 1982) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and won the 2011 FedEx Cup. He is the son of former PGA Tour player Jay Haas. Early life Haas was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was raised in Greer, South Carolina, a suburb of Greenville. He was the third member of his family to play golf at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, following his father, Jay, and uncle, Jerry. Brian Harman
Brian Harman (born January 19, 1987) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He is one of the few ambidextrous players on tour. Amateur career In college, Harman was a three-time 2nd Team All-American on the University of Georgia golf team. He won the 2005 NCAA Preview and the 2006 Isleworth Invitational. He also won the yearly award for highest Grade Point Average three times. In 2003, Harman won the U.S. Junior Amateur. Jonathan Moore (born April 17, 1985) is an American professional golfer. Moore was born in Oceanside, California. Mark Anderson (born February 14, 1986) is an American professional golfer who has played on the Web.com Tour and the PGA Tour. Anderson joined the Web.com Tour in 2010. In his rookie year on Tour he recorded three top-10 finishes. In 2011, he recorded four top-10 finishes and a runner-up finish at the Miccosukee Championship en route to finishing 22nd on the money list, good enough for a PGA Tour card for 2012. } William Carl "Bud" Cauley III (born March 16, 1990) is an American professional golfer. Amateur career Cauley was born in Daytona Beach, Florida where he was home schooled by his parents. He was ranked top-five nationally in junior golf and among top 15 in the world. As a junior golfer, Cauley was a member of the 2006 Junior Ryder Cup, and the 2008 USA Junior World Golf Championships team.
