Plava River (Kosovo)
The Plava River, also known as the Zapllugha River or Orgjost Creek, is a river flowing through the municipality of Dragash, Kosovo, and in parts of Albania. The Plava originates at an altitude of 1,400m on the slopes of Black Peak in the Sharr Mountains, and it flows for 21km. Dragash
Dragash or Sharr ( sq-definite, Dragashi or ''Sharri'') or Dragaš ( sr-cyr, Драгаш), is a town and municipality located in the Prizren District of Kosovo. Gora (region)
Gora (Cyrillic: Гора; ) is a geographical region in southern Kosovo and northeastern Albania, primarily inhabited by the Gorani people. Due to geopolitical circumstances, some of the local Gorani people have over time also self declared themselves as Albanians, Macedonians, Bosniaks, Bulgarians, Serbs, Turks and Muslims (nationality). Gorani inhabited settlements in Albania and Kosovo are synonymous with the geographical outline of Gora as a region. Between 1992 and 1999, the Gora region in Kosovo was designated as a municipality, and its population was 17,574 people according to the 1991 census. The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo ( sq, Akademia e Shkencave dhe e Arteve e Kosovës, la, Academia Scientiarum et Artium Kosoviensis) is the national academy of Kosovo. History & Organization The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo was founded on December 20, 1975, by decision of the Assembly of Kosovo. Its first president was Esad Mekuli, who is considered to be the father of modern Albanian poetry in Yugoslavia. The academy is organized in four divisions.
