Plastic Flowers
George Samaras, better known as Plastic Flowers, is a Greek songwriter and academic at King's College London, who has released three full-length studio albums: ''Evergreen'' in 2014, ''Heavenly'' in 2016 and ''Absent Forever'' in 2017. Career George started recording music on a TASCAM Multi-track and released a series of bedroom pop influenced EPs that have received praise for their lo-fi touch. In 2014 his debut album ''Evergreen'' was released through Inner Ear Records, and Crash Symbols in Europe and the United States respectively. He later moved to London and recorded his second full-length album ''Heavenly'' in November 2015, and ''Absent Forever'' in 2017, both released via The Native Sound and distributed by Warner. Dream Pop
Dream pop (also typeset as dreampop) is a subgenre of alternative rock and neo-psychedelia that emphasizes atmosphere and sonic texture as much as pop melody. Common characteristics include breathy vocals, dense productions, and effects such as reverb, echo, tremolo, and chorus. It often overlaps with the related genre of shoegaze, and the two genre terms have at times been used interchangeably. The genre came into prominence in the 1980s through the work of groups such as Cocteau Twins and A.R. Kane. Subsequently, acts such as My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Galaxie 500, Julee Cruise, Lush, and Mazzy Star released significant albums in the style. It saw renewed popularity among millennial listeners following the late-'00s success of Beach House. The Athens Concert Hall (Greek: Μέγαρον Μουσικής Αθηνών, ''Mégaron Mousikis Athinon'') is a concert hall located on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue in Athens, Greece. The Hall was inaugurated in 1991 with two halls. Since then it has been augmented with two more halls and now has a total of four: two large and two smaller ones. Edward C. Askew (born 1940) is an American painter and singer-songwriter who first recorded in 1968 and now lives in New York City. History Born Edward C. Askew in Stamford, Connecticut, he moved to New Haven, Connecticut, to study painting at Yale School of Art in 1963 and took up, more or less, permanent residence there until leaving for New York in 1987. After graduating from art school in 1966, Askew was called up for the draft. Not feeling particularly enthusiastic about going to war at age 26, he looked for a teaching job and found work at a private prep school in Connecticut. Keep Shelly in Athens are a Greek chillwave duo from Athens. They formed in 2010, and were quickly signed to the vinyl imprint label of independent music blog Gorilla vs. Bear, Forest Family Records. In November of that year, they released their debut 12" EP, ''In Love with Dusk'', which quickly sold out due to much internet hype. They are currently signed to Cascine Records, who released their debut full-length album in 2013. Still Corners are a British/American dream pop band formed in 2007 consisting of songwriter/producer Greg Hughes and vocalist Tessa Murray. History Murray met Hughes by chance at a train stop in London when the train was diverted to an alternate station. Murray is originally from England and Hughes grew up in Arizona and Texas and moved to England for a number of years to pursue a life in music.
