''Planetario'' is the ninth album of the group Enanitos Verdes published on December 9, 1997. The album was not widely successful. Of the 11 songs on the Planetario, only "Tibio corazon" and "Tan solo un instante" were hits. Enanitos Verdes
Enanitos Verdes (literal translation: "Little green dwarves", roughly equivalent to the English phrase "Little green men") is a rock trio from Argentina, formed in 1979 in the city of Mendoza. History The band started in 1979, with Marciano Cantero (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals), Felipe Staiti (guitar) and Daniel Piccolo drums. That same year, they performed throughout the Cuyo region. Later they traveled to Buenos Aires to record a demo, with unusable results that were never released. In spite of this failure, they continued doing shows in Mendoza and in Buenos Aires. In 1984 the band added two new members: Sergio Embrioni (guitar and vocals) and Tito Dávila (keyboard). As a quintet they published the disc ''Los Enanitos Verdes'', with the hit "Aún sigo cantando" ("I'm still singing"). Embrioni left the band in 1985. Guerra Gaucha
''Guerra Gaucha'' is the eighth album of Enanitos Verdes published in 1996. The album featured a number of guest musicians, including famous folk percussionist Domingo Cura (box drum and Peruvian), tango bandoneon player Daniel Binelli, percussionist Luis Conte and singer Ruben Albarrán (of Café Tacuba). Albarrán sings a duet with Marciano Cantero on the song "Ella". The album's musical style blends rock with traditional tango and Latin American folklore Folklore is shared by a particular group of people; it encompasses the traditions common to that culture, subculture or group. Tracción Acústica
Tracción Acústica is the tenth album of Enanitos Verdes released on January 27, 1998. Tracción Acústica is a compilation of their greatest hit songs recorded live in high acoustic quality. It includes a tribute to the legendary Mexican rock band El Tri, performing their classic theme "Metro Balderas". The album also contains two unreleased tracks: "El Guerrero" and "Fiesta Jurásica". It received a nomination for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards, becoming the group's first nomination at the ceremony. The album was recorded live on October 28 and 29, 1997, in Mexico City. It was their first album with their new record label: PolyGram. The performance was filmed by television networks for Telehit and was aired in February 1998.
