Planet Sketch
''Planet Sketch'' is an animated television series produced by Aardman Animations and Decode Entertainment. The show was first aired on CITV on September 10, 2005, and later began airing on the Canadian network Teletoon starting on November 19, 2005. The series ended its run on September 16, 2008. In the United States, the show (mainly season two) would officially be broadcast on Nickelodeon's Nicktoons Network via '' Shorts in a Bunch''. Overview Each episode features an assortment of sketches. The show typically begins with a ''Nose Picker'' sketch, in which a girl named Olivia pulls out an object from her nose (which is also the title of each episode in Season 1). Teletoon
Teletoon (stylized as TELETOON) is a Canadian English-language specialty channel owned by Teletoon Canada, Inc., a subsidiary of Corus Entertainment. Its name is a portmanteau of "television" and " cartoon". The channel primarily broadcasts animated series aimed at children and teenagers. It was launched on October 17, 1997 by a consortium of Western International Communications, Astral Media, Shaw Communications, Cinar and Nelvana. WildBrain Studios is the in-house television studio arm of Canadian entertainment company WildBrain based in Vancouver which was established in 2016 as DHX Studios. History In January 2016, DHX Media announced that they would be building a 60,000 square-foot studio in Vancouver that would focus on both animated and live-action productions. The production teams of the former Studio B Productions, which DHX Media acquired in 2007 and Nerd Corps Entertainment, which DHX acquired in 2014 were relocated to the new building later in the year. David Sproxton
David Sproxton, (born 6 January 1954) is a British entrepreneur, best known as one of the co-founders, with Peter Lord, of the Aardman Animations studio. Sproxton was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) on 17 June 2006. Education and career David graduated from Collingwood College, Durham University before starting as an animator, producing segments for the ''Vision On'' TV program, Sproxton and Lord created the character of Morph for ''Take Hart'' (which featured Tony Hart, the artist from ''Vision On''). Peter Lord CBE (born 1953) is an English animator, director, producer and co-founder of the Academy Award-winning Aardman Animations studio, an animation firm best known for its clay-animated films and shorts, particularly those featuring plasticine duo Wallace and Gromit. He also directed ''Chicken Run'' along with Nick Park, and ''The Pirates! Band of Misfits'' which was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 85th Academy Awards. Janet Brown
Janet McLuckie Brown (14 December 192327 May 2011) was a Scottish actress, comedian and impressionist who gained considerable fame in the 1970s and 1980s for her impersonations of Margaret Thatcher.
