Planet Ladder
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuri Narushima. Appearing as a serial in the '' shōjo'' (targeted towards girls) manga magazine ''Crimson'' from the March 1998 issue to the May 2003 issue, the chapters of ''Planet Ladder'' were published by Sobisha/Shueisha in seven ''tankōbon'' volumes from December 1998 to May 2004. Based on the Japanese folktale '' The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter'' in which a girl is discovered to be the princess of the moon, the story focuses on a teenager named Kaguya, who is prophesied to save only one of the nine parallel worlds, and her quest to bring peace to a warring universe while finding her true identity. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Fuyumi Soryo. Initially serialized in ''Bessatsu Friend'' from 1996 to 2000, the series spans 15 ''tankōbon'' volumes. It follows the teenage romance between Kira Aso, an introverted artist, and Rei Kashino, a troubled playboy who is a professional motorcycle racer. A single volume prequel, ''Mars: A Horse With No Name'' was released in 1999. The manga is licensed for an English language release by Tokyopop, which has published all 15 volumes plus the prequel. The Skull Man
is a shōnen manga, ''shōnen'' manga series created by Shotaro Ishinomori which first appeared in ''Weekly Shōnen Magazine'' in 1970. The hero of the story, whose parents have been murdered, grows up to use his peculiar powers to take revenge. The original Skull Man was one of the first antiheroes to be seen in manga, someone who would sacrifice the lives of innocents in his quest for vengeance. While developing the ''Kamen Rider'' (''Masked Rider'') TV series along with producer Toru Hirayama, Ishinomori created this manga as his own personal version, which the producers at Toei Company Ltd. used as the basis for the show. is a Japanese light novel series written by Reiji Saiga and illustrated by Sora Inoue. It was serialized in ''Dragon Magazine'' from 1997 to 2010. A manga adaptation by the same authors was serialized in '' Monthly Comic Dragon'' from 1998 to 2001. A 13-episode anime television series was produced by Gonzo in 2001. Tankōbon
is the Japanese term for a book that is not part of an anthology or corpus.
