Antoine Plamondon
Antoine-Sébastien Plamondon ( – 1895) was an artist in Quebec, who painted mainly portraits and religious images, the latter commissioned primarily by churches in and around Quebec City. As a young man, he had traveled to France and studied painting in Paris for four years, with such portraitists as Jean-Baptiste Paulin Guérin. Life Plamondon was born in 1804 (or 1802) at L'Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec, the son of the village grocer and his wife. He had at least two siblings. He went to school in Saint-Roch, a suburb of Quebec City, after which he was apprenticed to Joseph Légaré (1795–1855), a picture restorer and amateur painter. In 1826 at the age of 22, Plamondon travelled to Paris, where he studied with classical portraitists such as Jean-Baptiste Paulin Guérin (1783–1855). Works from this period are scarce.R. H. Plamondon Creek
The Plamondon Creek is a tributary of the Plamondon Bay (Gouin Reservoir) located in the western part of the Gouin Reservoir. This stream runs entirely in forest zone in the town of La Tuque, in the administrative region of Mauricie, in Quebec, in Canada. The Plamondon stream flows successively in the townships of Lacasse and Crémazie. Forestry is the main economic activity of this valley; recreational tourism activities, second. Plamondon Bay is a freshwater body situated in the western part of Gouin Reservoir, within the territory of the town of La Tuque, in the administrative region of Mauricie, Quebec, Canada. This bay predominantly extends across the townships of Hanotaux (western part) and Crémazie. The primary economic activity in the region revolves around recreational tourism, with forestry following as a secondary activity. The hydrographic terrain of Plamondon Bay is accessible via the R1045 forest road originating from Obedjiwan village, Quebec, and passing along the northwest perimeter of Gouin Reservoir. Marius Plamondon
Marius Plamondon (1914–1976) was a Canadian sculptor and stained glass artist who made a significant contribution to the revival of the art of stained glass in Quebec during his lifetime. His most famous work is the set of ten stained glass windows he made for Saint Joseph's Oratory, Montreal. Early years Marius Plamondon was born in 1914 in Quebec City, Quebec.
