Plainview High School is a public high school located in the city of Plainview, Texas, USA and classified as a 5A school by the UIL. Jamar Wall
Jamar Wall (born January 10, 1988) is a gridiron football defensive back for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He also was a member of the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He played college football at Texas Tech. Early years Wall attended Plainview High School where he played as a running back, defensive back and punter. Jerald Grant Sisemore (born July 16, 1951) is a former American football offensive lineman who played for 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1973 to 1984. He played college football for the University of Texas, Austin, University of Texas. College career As a sophomore, Sisemore was a regular on the 1970 Texas Longhorns football, Longhorn team that built an unbeaten streak to 30 games. The next year Sisemore blossomed into one of the nation's best linemen as he had the first of two consecutive seasons (1971 College Football All-America Team, 1971 and 1972 College Football All-America Team, 1972) where he was both an all-conference and Unanimous All-America selection. Lavern Roach
Raymond "Lavern" Roach (February 22, 1925 – February 23, 1950) was a boxer from the small Texas town of Plainview, who was Ring Magazine's Rookie-of-the-Year in 1947. Lavern had a winning record and was considered an up-and-coming contender until his untimely death. Lavern sustained a fatal head injury during a boxing match and died the next day due to a subdural hemorrhage. He was the first boxing casualty of 1950. Lawrence McCutcheon (born June 2, 1950) is a former American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles Rams from 1972 to 1980, the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks in 1980, and 1981 with the Buffalo Bills, reuniting with former Rams head coach Chuck Knox.
