Plainfield North High School (PNHS) is a four-year public high school located in Plainfield, Illinois, a southwest suburb of Chicago, in the United States. Founded in August 2005, it is one of four high schools in the Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202. Plainfield, Illinois
Plainfield is a village in Will and Kendall counties, Illinois, United States. The population was 44,762 at the 2020 census. The village includes land in Will County's Plainfield and Wheatland townships, as well as Na-Au-Say and Oswego townships in Kendall County. With the growth in the Chicago suburbs in the 1990s and 2000s, the village has seen a population increase, from 4,500 in 1990 to 28,000 in 2000 to nearly 45,000 in 2016. It is between the cities of Naperville and Joliet. The village has established a community Preservation Commission and historic preservation ordinance. It is the home of the Lake Renwick Preserve, a county forest preserve used for birdwatching and other activities. History In 1852, The Old Stone School opened as Oswego's first permanent school building, at the corner of Tyler and Monroe Streets. The Old Stone School served all grade levels, ultimately operating as Oswego's first dedicated elementary, middle, and high school. Kapri Lashaw Bibbs (born January 10, 1993) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Colorado State, and was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2014. He has also played for the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, and Green Bay Packers. Early years Bibbs attended and played high school football at Plainfield North High School (IL) for the Tigers. The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) is an association that regulates competition of interscholastic sports and some interscholastic activities at the high school level for the state of Illinois. It is a charter member of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). The IHSA regulates 14 sports for boys, 15 sports for girls, and eight co-educational non-athletic activities. The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a standardized test administered by the College Board and cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) in the United States. In the 2018-2019 school year, 2.27 million high school sophomores and 1.74 million high school juniors took the PSAT.
