Pitumarca District
Pitumarca District is one of eight districts of the province Canchis in Peru. Geography The Willkanuta mountain range lies in the district. Some of the highest mountains of the district are Chumpi, Chupika, Hatun Uma, Hatun Ñañu Punta, Kuntur Ikiña, Wayruru Punku, Wila Jaqhi, Yana Qaqa and Yayamari. Ethnic groups The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. The districts of Peru () are the third-level country subdivisions of Peru. They are subdivisions of the provinces of Peru, provinces, which in turn are subdivisions of the larger regions of Peru, regions or departments. There are 1,838 districts in total. Overview A 1982 law requires a minimum of residents in an area for a new district to be legally established: 3,500 if it is located in the rainforest, 4,000 in the Andes highlands and 10,000 in the Chala, coastal area. In the dry Andean area, many districts have less than 3,500 inhabitants due to low population density in the area. In some cases, their populations have decreased in comparison to the days when they were founded. Districts that are located at very high altitudes tend to be scarcely populated. Chullumpina

Yayamari
Yayamari (other names: Ambrocca or Ambroja in Hispanicized spellings or Montura) is a mountain in the Vilcanota mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about high. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, Pitumarca District, and in the Quispicanchi Province, Marcapata District. Yayamari lies northeast of Sibinacocha, north of the lake named Amayuni and northwest of Huila Aje and Condoriquiña. Elevation Other data from available digital elevation models: SRTM yields 6016 metres, ASTER 5984 metres, ALOS 6023 metres and TanDEM-X 6071 metres. The height of the nearest key col is 5327 meters, leading to a topographic prominence of 722 meters.
