Pitch Black Records is a Cypriot independent record label headquartered in Nicosia. Established in December 2007 by Phivos Papadopoulos, the label has primarily released albums by heavy metal bands. The label also organises various concerts in Cyprus. Overview Pitch Black Records was founded in December 2007 by guitarist Phivos Papadopoulos, to release the first studio album of his band Diphtheria. Their album ''To Wait for Fire'' was released on the label in 2008. According to Papadopoulos, "We just didn't feel like going through the whole procedure of finding a label but at the same time felt very strongly about putting out that album. ..So it seemed very logical at the time to set up the label." Pitch Black is a New Zealand electronica duo from Christchurch. History Mike and Paddy met in 1996. Since then they have released five albums, four remix albums and been on six world tours. Their debut album, '' Futureproof'', released in August 1998, rose to the top of the New Zealand electronic charts, despite no marketing or advertising. Their second album, ''Electronomicon'', followed in September 2000, and led to a 30-date tour of New Zealand and Australia. Both albums spawned remix projects, featuring mixes by local bands International Observer, Epsilon Blue and Downtown Brown. ''Blue Lips'' is the third studio album by Swedish singer Tove Lo. It was released on 17 November 2017 by Island Records. ''Blue Lips'' is considered the second half of a two-piece concept album that describe "highs, lows and ultimate demise of a relationship." Its chapters "Light Beams" and "Pitch Black" succeed the chapters "Fairy Dust" and "Fire Fade" from her previous album ''Lady Wood'' (2016). Vicetone is a Dutch electronic music DJ and production duo formed by Ruben den Boer ((), born 22 January 1992) and Victor Pool (born 9 July 1992) from Groningen. The duo began as a DJ act, and in 2013, they were voted into the ''DJ Mag'' Top 100 DJs list for the first time at 60th as a new entry. Later in 2014, they went up 24 places on the list, coming 36th. Exercise ''Pitch Black'' is a biennial warfare exercise hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). The exercise is normally held in Northern Australia, primarily at RAAF Bases Darwin and Tindal. The aim of the exercise is to practice Offensive Counter Air (OCA) and Defensive Counter Air (DCA) combat, in a simulated war environment.
