Cleo Pires Ayrosa Galvão (born 2 October 1982), known mononymously as Cleo, is a Brazilian actress and singer. Career She made her debut as an actress when she participated in the ''Memorial de Maria Moura'' mini-series in 1994. It was a quick participation of just one episode in which the protagonist, Maria Moura, as a young woman, was replaced by her mother, Glória Pires, in the adulthood of the character. Maria João Alexandre Barbosa Pires (; born 23 July 1944) is a Portuguese classical pianist, widely regarded as one of the leading interpreters of Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin. Mário Lemos Pires (30 June 1930 – 22 May 2009) was a major-general of the Portuguese Army and the last colonial governor of Portuguese Timor. Captain Fernão Pires de Andrade (also spelled as Fernão Peres de Andrade; in contemporary sources, Fernam (Fernã) Perez Dandrade) (died 1552) was a Portuguese merchant, pharmacist, and official diplomat under the explorer and Portuguese Malacca governor Afonso de Albuquerque. Life and career Early life Pires was born in the Portuguese village of São João do Peso, which is within the district of Castelo Branco near the border of Spain. João Murça Pires (1917-1994) was a Brazilian botanist, who worked principally at the Instituto Agronômico do Norte. Life Pires was born in Bariri, Brazil on June 27, 1917. Mário Pires (born 1949) is a Bissau-Guinean politician who was Prime Minister from 2002 to 2003. He is a member of the Social Renewal Party (PRS). Early life Pires took office as Prime Minister on 17 November 2002, when he was appointed by President Kumba Ialá after the latter dissolved the National People's Assembly and called an early parliamentary election. That election, which was initially planned to be held within 90 days, was subsequently delayed from February 2003 to April, then to July and then to 12 October 2003. After the electoral commission announced in September that it could not finish voter registration in time to meet the planned October date, the military seized power in a coup on 14 September 2003, removing Ialá and Pires from office.
