Piranha Heights
''Piranha Heights'' is a one act play by Philip Ridley. It is Ridley's seventh stage play for adults and premiered at the Soho Theatre, London in 2008. The production was the second collaboration between Ridley and Soho Theatre Artistic Director Lisa Goldman whom Ridley dedicated the play to in his preface of the published text. The play also featured Luke Treadaway in one of his earliest professional stage credits, who along with actor John Macmillan was filmed for Ridley's 2009 horror film '' Heartless'', during the play's original run. ''Piranha Heights'' serves as the third and final instalment in Ridley's unofficially titled "Brothers Trilogy", having been preceded by ''Mercury Fur'' and ''Leaves of Glass''. Philip Ridley
Philip Ridley (born 1957 in East London) is an English storyteller working in a wide range of artistic media. As a visual artist he has been cited as a contemporary of the 'Young British Artists', and had his artwork exhibited internationally. As a novelist he has created fiction for both children and adults and has had particular success and recognition as a children's author. In the field of cinema he is perhaps best known for his award-winning screenplay for the 1990 film, ''The Krays (film), The Krays'' (1990), a biopic about the Kray twins which was directed by Peter Medak. As a filmmaker in his own right he is recognised for creating a loose trilogy of horror films: ''The Reflecting Skin'' (1990), ''The Passion of Darkly Noon'' (1995) and ''Heartless (2009 film), Heartless'' (2009) for which he has acquired a cult following. Jade Williams (born 2 October 1984) is a British actress. Early life Williams was born and in London, England in 1984 to Shelley and Mick Williams, a postman. She is the first of three children; her sister is Candice and her brother is Adam. ''Theatre Record'' is a periodical that reprints reviews, production photographs, and other information about the British theatre. Overview ''Theatre Record'' was founded in 1981 by Ian Herbert and has been published fortnightly since January 1981 until January 2019, when it became an online publication. Previously it was printed and published in England every two weeks. It reprints unabridged all the national drama critics' reviews of productions in and out of London, with full casts and credits. It also lists early information of forthcoming shows all over the country, including box office and press contact numbers. Ian Shuttleworth
Terence Ian Shuttleworth (born 6 July 1963 in Belfast, UK) is a Northern Irish theatre critic and author. He was joint senior theatre critic for the ''Financial Times'' from May 2007 until March 2019. He was editor and publisher of ''Theatre Record'' magazine from 2004 until 2016. In March 2019 he left the UK for Germany. Shuttleworth was educated at the Royal Belfast Academical Institution. He received a master's degree in English literature from Queens' College, Cambridge.
