Pippi Goes On Board (film)
''Pippi Goes on Board'' (original German title: ''Pippi geht von Bord'', Swedish title: ''Här kommer Pippi Långstrump'') is a 1969 Swedish/West German movie, based on the eponymous children's books by Astrid Lindgren with the cast of the 1969 TV series ''Pippi Longstocking''. The film consisted of re-edited footage from the TV series. It was produced by Beta Film, one of the German co-producers of the TV series after the success of their first compilation movie ''Pippi Longstocking'', using scenes and episodes not used in the first film. Despite its title, the film has little-to-nothing to do with the book of the same name in terms of story. The movie was eventually released in Sweden in 1973, where it has been poorly received, due to its disjointed continuity compared to the TV series. It was released in the US in 1975. Nils Olof "Olle" Hellbom (8 October 1925 – 5 June 1982) was a Swedish film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is most famous for directing films based on novels by Astrid Lindgren. His 1960 film ''Alla vi barn i Bullerbyn'' was entered into the 2nd Moscow International Film Festival. In 1978 at the 14th Guldbagge Awards he won the award for Best Director for his film '' The Brothers Lionheart''. He died of stomach cancer. Hans Clarin
Hans Clarin (14 September 1929 – 28 August 2005) was a German actor. He became a well-known voice actor of characters in children audio plays, particularly the kobold ''Pumuckl'' (including its TV and cinematic film adaptations), the German voice of René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo's diminutive Gaulish hero Asterix (in circa 30 German audioplay adaptations of the ''Asterix'' comic books, produced and published 1986-1992 under the Europa label), and the ghost '' Hui Buh''.
