Pinnacle Valley
Pinnacle Valley is the northwesternmost neighborhood of the city of Little Rock, Arkansas. The area is to the south of Pinnacle Mountain, one of the highest elevations in Pulaski County. Like Chenal Valley which borders the area on its south side, Pinnacle Valley is a fast-developing portion of Little Rock as the city continues to expand westward. The neighborhood is anchored by Arkansas Highway 10 (which is officially signed as Cantrell Road on the portions that are inside Little Rock corporate limits), although most in the area refer to the path located west of an intersection with Interstate 430 simply as Highway 10. Minor developed areas including Pleasant Ridge and Walton Heights buffer Pinnacle Valley from the interstate on its eastern side. Pulaski County, Arkansas
Pulaski County is located in the U.S. state of Arkansas with a population of 399,125, making it the most populous county in Arkansas. The county is included in the Little Rock–North Little Rock– Conway metropolitan area. Its county seat is Little Rock, which is also Arkansas's capital and largest city. Pulaski County is Arkansas's fifth county, formed on December 15, 1818, alongside Clark and Hempstead Counties. Pulaski County is named for Brigadier General Casimir Pulaski, a Polish-born Continental Army officer who was killed in action at the Siege of Savannah during the Revolutionary War. The county was the site of the Battle of Bayou Fourche on September 10, 1863. The Union army took control the same day and occupied Pulaski County until the end of the Civil War. Chenal Valley, Little Rock, Arkansas
Chenal Valley () is a sizable and more recently developed section of Little Rock, Arkansas, located in the west-central part of the city and serves as a major economic and residential hub in west Little Rock. Its name is derived from the area's Shinall Mountain, but Deltic Timber Corporation (now PotlatchDeltic), a major early developer of the area, opted to alter the name to mimic French language as part of a strategy (known as foreign branding) to orient the residential and commercial development toward upper-class population segments. The main thoroughfare is Chenal Parkway, mostly a divided four-lane path chiefly connecting Highway 10 to west Little Rock's Financial Centre business district. Arkansas Highway 10
Arkansas Highway 10 is an east–west state highway in West Arkansas. The route runs from Oklahoma State Highway 120 near Hackett east to Interstate 30 in Little Rock, the state's capitol. The highway serves both the Fort Smith metropolitan area and the Little Rock – North Little Rock – Conway metropolitan area. Aside from Little Rock in Pulaski County, the highway also passes through county seats in four other Arkansas counties — Greenwood, Sebastian County; Booneville, Logan County; Danville, Yell County; and Perryville, Perry County. Mount Magazine, Arkansas's highest point, lies just to the north of the highway, as does the adjoining Mount Magazine State Park. Interstate 430
Interstate 430 (I-430) is a Interstate highway in Pulaski County, Arkansas, that bypasses the cities of Little Rock and North Little Rock. I-430 begins at an interchange southwest of Downtown Little Rock with I-30, U.S. Highway 67 (US 67), and US 70 and travels north to cross the Arkansas River and end at I-40 and US 65. The first plans for the freeway appeared in 1955. Route description I-430 starts its route at a trumpet interchange with I-30, US 67, and US 70. From the interchange, US 70 joins I-430 as it travels northwest and runs over Highway 338 (AR 338, Baseline Road) before having a diamond interchange with AR 5 (Stagecoach Road).
