Pinky Anand
Pinky Anand is an Indian lawyer and was designated as a senior advocate until May 2020. She served as an Additional Solicitor General of India at the Supreme Court of India. She is also a politician. Education Anand graduated from Lady Shri Ram College for Women and received her LLB degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. In 1979–80, she was elected as the first woman Secretary of Delhi University Students Union (DUSU). In 1980, she studied at Harvard University to receive a Master of Law degree, supported by an Inlaks Scholarship from the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation. Career Anand has worked in constitutional, property, private international, family, environmental and corporate laws. She was the head of the All-India Legal Cell at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and is a former Additional Advocate-General for the State of Uttarakhand. Senior Counsel
The title of Senior Counsel or State Counsel (post-nominal letters: SC) is given to a senior lawyer in some countries that were formerly part of the British Empire. "Senior Counsel" is used in current or former Commonwealth countries or jurisdictions that have chosen to change the title "King's Counsel" to a name without monarchical connotations, usually related to the British monarch that is no longer head of state, such that reference to the King is no longer appropriate. Laxmi Mall Singhvi
Laxmi Mall Singhvi (9 November 1931 – 6 October 2007) was an Indian jurist, parliamentarian, scholar, writer and diplomat. He was, after V. K. Krishna Menon, the second-longest-serving High Commissioner for India in the United Kingdom (1991–97). He was conferred with a Padma Bhushan in 1998. Biography Singhvi was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, into a Marwari Jain family. He had two brothers, Prasan Mall Singhvi and Gulab Mall Singhvi, and two sisters, Pushpa Sett and Chandra Bhandari. ''Clemenceau'' () was the French Navy's sixth aircraft carrier and the lead ship of her class. The carrier served from 1961 to 1997, and was dismantled and recycled in 2009. The carrier was the second French warship to be named after Georges Clemenceau, the first being a laid down in 1939 but never finished. United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is a centre-left political alliance of predominantly left-leaning political parties in India. Indira Jaising (born 3 June 1940) is an Indian lawyer and activist. In 2018, she was ranked 20th on the list of 50 Greatest Leaders of the World by Fortune magazine. She also runs '' Lawyers' Collective,'' a non-governmental organization (NGO), the license of which was permanently cancelled by the Home Ministry for violations of Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. The central government of India accused the NGO of using foreign funds in a manner not mentioned in the objectives of the NGO.
