Pingyuan Province
Pingyuan () was a former province of the People's Republic of China that existed between 1949 and 1952. Its capital was Xinxiang, now in Henan province. History Pingyuan Province was established on August 20, 1949, comprising adjoining prefectures in the provinces of Henan and Shandong: *Xinxiang, Henan (along with then-separate urban centre Xinxiang City) *Puyang, Henan *Anyang, Henan (along with then-separate urban centre Anyang City) *Heze, Shandong * Huxi, Shandong *Liaocheng, Shandong Pan Fusheng was the first Communist Party Chief of the province, and Chao Zhefu was its only governor. In March 1950, a number of peasants and cattle froze to death when transporting grain to government storage in Puyang prefecture. Pingyuan County ( postal: Pingyun; , Hakka: Phin-yen) is a county in the northeast of Guangdong Province, People's Republic of China. It is under the administration of Meizhou City. Geography Pingyuan County is located in the northeast of Guangdong province, on the border between Guangdong, Jiangxi and Fujian province. It was founded in the Ming Dynasty Jiajing in the 42nd year (year 1863). Because it is located between Wuping (in Fujian) and Anyuan County (in Jiangxi), it was named ‘Pingyuan’. Pingyuan Commandery ( zh, 平原郡) was a historical commandery of China, existing from Han dynasty to Tang dynasty. It was centered around present-day northwestern Shandong province. The commandery was carved out of the Jibei Kingdom during Emperor Jing of Han's reign. Pingtan County () is a county comprising 126 islands in the Taiwan Strait, it is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, China. Yingjiang County (; th, เมืองหล้า) is a county in Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan province, China, bordering Burma's Kachin State to the west. Geography Yingjiang county has a border of with Kachin State, Myanmar in the west. The Danzha River () and Binglang River () meet near Jiucheng () and become the Daying River (Dàyíngjiāng).
