Pieter Dirk "Pim" Jungerius (born 10 June 1933) is a Dutch physical geographer. He was a professor of physical geography, climatology and cartography at the University of Amsterdam between 1970 and 1998. Life Jungerius was born on 10 June 1933 in Rijnsburg. He obtained a degree in physical geography at the University of Amsterdam in 1957. Jungerius obtained his doctorate in physical geography in 1959 at the same university under with a thesis titled: "Zur Verwitterung, Bodenbildung und Morphologie der Keuper-Liaslandschaft bei Moutfort in Luxembourg". He was lector of general physical geography and physical landscape geography at the University of Amsterdam between 1963 and 1970. He subsequently was professor of physical geography, climatology and cartography between 1970 and his retirement in 1998. Peter Tim Dirk "Pim" Verbeek (12 March 1956 – 28 November 2019) was a Dutch football manager who last coached the Oman national football team. Playing career As a player, Verbeek was a defender or a midfielder and spent his entire career at Sparta Rotterdam. He played there for two stints: from 1974 to 1975 and from 1977 to 1980. Managerial career South Korea Verbeek was the assistant coach of the South Korean national team under Guus Hiddink at the 2002 FIFA World Cup and also under Dick Advocaat at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Prior to this, he coached various teams in his home country, including De Graafschap, Groningen, Fortuna Sittard and even Feyenoord. Pim Nieuwenhuis (born 23 December 1976, in Enkhuizen) is a sailor from the Netherlands. Nieuwenhuis as crew on the Dutch Tornado with Mitch Booth as helmsman took 5th place in the Tornado during the 2008 Olympics, in Qingdao. Sailing career Nieuwenhuis started in the optimist dinghy where he picked up the first racing skills. Soon he moved on to Olympic classes and started in the Tornado class in 1994. He was recruited by coach Roy Heiner as a talent for his big boat campaigns. Wilhelmus Frederikus "Pim" Koopman (11 March 1953 – 23 November 2009) was a Dutch musician best known as the drummer and percussionist of rock band Kayak. Biography Born in Hilversum, Koopman co-founded Kayak in 1972, along with Ton Scherpenzeel, Johan Slager and Max Werner. Koopman left the band in 1976 because of health problems and issues with the group's manager. He went on to become a record producer, and was successful with acts such as Maywood, José Hoebee, Valensia, Petra Berger and Robby Valentine. He returned to Kayak for the reunion in 1999, and had been playing drums in Kayak again until his death in 2009. As a musician, writer, producer and arranger, Koopman was also involved in two other bands: Diesel and The President.
