Pillow Fight Championship
The Pillow Fight Championship (PFC) is a professional sports organization that arranges competitive pillow fighting matches. The PFC was founded by Steve Williams in 2021, offering a unique style of combat sport that combines elements of boxing and mixed martial arts through specialized pillows. These pillows are equipped with durable handles and ripstop nylon, enabling swift and forceful movements that generate a distinctive sound upon impact. Each bout lasts for 90 seconds. History The concept for Pillow Fight Championship (PFC) originated during the COVID-19 pandemic when there was a demand for socially distanced sports and entertainment. Skilled mixed martial artists and boxers were drawn to the idea of employing pillows as weapons in a sporting context. Inaugural Event On January 29, 2022, the inaugural professional Pillow Fight Championship 1 took place in Florida. The event featured 24 competitors, comprising 16 men and 8 women. Non-governmental Organization
A non-governmental organization (NGO) or non-governmental organisation (see spelling differences) is an organization that generally is formed independent from government. They are typically nonprofit entities, and many of them are active in humanitarianism or the social sciences; they can also include clubs and associations that provide services to their members and others. Surveys indicate that NGOs have a high degree of public trust, which can make them a useful proxy for the concerns of society and stakeholders. However, NGOs can also be lobby groups for corporations, such as the World Economic Forum. NGOs are distinguished from international and intergovernmental organizations (''IOs'') in that the latter are more directly involved with sovereign states and their governments. The term as it is used today was first introduced in Article 71 of the newly-formed United Nations' Charter in 1945. While there is no fixed or formal definition for what NGOs are, they are genera ...

Pillow Fight
A pillow fight is a common game mostly played by young children (but also by teens and adults) in which they engage in mock physical conflict, using pillows as weapons. Pillow fights often occur during children's sleepovers. Since pillows are usually soft, injuries rarely occur. The heft of a pillow can still knock a young person off balance, especially on a soft surface such as a bed, which is a common venue. In earlier eras, pillows would often break, shedding feathers throughout a room. Modern pillows tend to be stronger and are often filled with a solid block of artificial filling, so breakage occurs far less frequently. Organized pillow fights Pillow fighting has become a part of flash mob culture, with pillow fight flash mobs popping up in cities around the world. Social media is frequently used to initiate and advertise public pillow fight events. World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), occasionally staged "pillow fight matches" between female wrestlers, then known a ...
