Pietro Arcari
Pietro Sante Arcari III (2 December 1909 – 8 February 1988) was an Italian footballer and forward, or as a right winger. Career Born in Casalpusterlengo, Province of Lodi, he played in the 1930s for A.C. Milan, and Genoa. A prolific goalscorer, known for his speed and ability in the air, he played 256 matches in Serie A, scoring 80 goals. In the 1933–34 season, he scored 16 goals for Milan, finishing the season as the fifth highest scorer in Serie A, leading to his selection by manager Vittorio Pozzo to the national team for the 1934 FIFA World Cup on home soil. Italy won the title, although Arcari did not make a single appearance throughout the tournament; consequently, he is one of only four players in Italy national team history to become World champion while never being capped. Casalpusterlengo
Casalpusterlengo is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Lodi in the Italy, Italian region Lombardy, located about southeast of Milan and about southeast of Lodi, Lombardy, Lodi. It received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on October 30, 1975. The town has a Baroque church of Santi Bartolomeo e Martino, Casalpusterlengo, Santi Bartolomeo e Martino, which was built in the 14th-century but refurbished between 1602 and 1610. The town also has a communal palace and a tower from the medieval castle. 1936–37 Coppa Italia
The 1936–37 Coppa Italia was the 2nd edition of the tournament under the organization of the Higher Directory. All teams from Serie A, Serie B and Serie C took part to this competition, which included a first phase, with elimination rounds reserved to B and C teams, and a final phase, where the 16 winners of the first phase met 16 Serie A teams. All the matches were played in a single leg with eventual replay on the model of the FA Cup, homefields were decided by drawing except for the final match in Florence. The trophy was won by Genova 1893, which defeated 1–0 Roma in the final match, played at the Giovanni Berta Stadium in Florence on June 6, 1937. Winning the cup, Genova 1893 also gained the qualification to the 1937 edition of the Mitropa Cup.
