Pierre Decazes
Pierre Decazes, stage name of Pierre Aderhold (12 July 1932 – 11 August 2020) was a French actor. Biography Pierre Aderhold gave himself the name "Decazes" for Decazeville, where he spent his childhood. Coming from a family of blue collar workers, Decazes lived in Paris and Lot. His brother, Gérard Aderhold, led the Poissonnerie Aderhold in Rodez and founded the Belondine oyster company within the Groupe Flo. Decazes was the father of two children. His son is writer Carl Aderhold. Plot In the Paris suburb of Chavigny, Joseph Boussard (André Falcon) holds political office in the lead up to an election. When a campaigner for the opposition is killed, the respected Dr. Peyrac (Bernard Fresson) decides to contest the election. One of Boussard's aides obtains and circulates a doctored photograph of Peyrac's wife, Sylvie (Annie Girardot), engaged in group sex at the home of their friends, the Leroys. ''The Mother'' is a play by the German modernist playwright Bertolt Brecht. It is based on Maxim Gorky's 1906 novel of the same name. Background It was written in collaboration with Hanns Eisler, Slatan Dudow and Günther Weisenborn in 1930–31 in prose dialogue with unrhymed irregular free verse and ten initial songs in its score, with three more added later. Eisler rewrote the incidental music as a cantata, op. 25, for chorus, solo voices and two pianos for a 1935 New York stage production. The play's full German title is ' (The mother.
