Pierre-Évariste Leblanc
Sir Pierre-Évariste Leblanc, (August 10, 1853 – October 18, 1918) was born in Saint-Martin (today part of Laval, Quebec). He was a Quebec Conservative Party leader but never premier. First elected to the Legislative Assembly in a by-election in 1882 in the riding of Laval, he served as leader of the Opposition from 1905 to 1908, when he lost the 1908 election and his own seat. Served as the 11th Lieutenant Governor of Quebec from February 12, 1915, until his death in Spencer Wood, Sillery, in 1918. Leblanc was buried at cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges in Montreal. François Langelier
Sir François Langelier, (24 December 1838 – 8 February 1915) was a Canadians, Canadian lawyer, professor, journalist, politician, the List of lieutenant governors of Quebec#Lieutenant Governors of Quebec, 1867–present, tenth Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, and author. He was born in Sainte-Rosalie, Lower Canada (now Quebec) and died in Government House (Quebec), Spencer Wood, Sillery, Quebec City, Sillery, Quebec. In 1871, he was an unsuccessful candidate to the Legislative Assembly of Quebec for the riding of Bagot. A Quebec Liberal Party, Liberal, he was elected in an 1873 by-election for the riding of Montmagny (provincial electoral district), Montmagny. He was defeated in 1875 but was re-elected in 1878 for the riding of Portneuf (provincial electoral district), Portneuf. He was Commissioner of Crown Lands and Provincial Treasurer from 1878 to 1879. Laval (; ) is a city in Quebec, Canada. It is in the southwest of the province, north of Montreal. It is the largest suburb of Montreal, the third-largest city in the province after Montreal and Quebec City, and the thirteenth largest city in Canada with a population of 422,993 in 2016. Laval is geographically separated from the mainland to the north by the Rivière des Mille Îles, and from the Island of Montreal to the south by the Rivière des Prairies. Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery (french: Cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges) is a rural cemetery located in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Montreal, Quebec, Canada which was founded in 1854. Quebec's Government House, known as Spencer Wood, was the viceregal residence of Quebec. It was built in 1854. Located at (upstream of the Plains of Abraham and overlooking Anse-au-Foulon) in Sillery, it was purchased by the Quebec government in 1870, and served as the residence of Quebec lieutenant governors until 1966, when a major fire destroyed the main residence.
