Pierpaolo Pedroni
Pierpaolo Pedroni (20 May 1964, in Cremona – 23 June 2009, in Milan) was an Italian rugby union player, rugby union referee and sports commentator. He played as a lock and as a number eight. Pedroni played most of his career at Amatori Rugby Milano, where he premiered in the first category at 1982/83 and would play until 1996/97. He spent a brief stint at SU Agen in the Autumn of 1997, returning soon to Amatori Rugby Milano, where he would stay until 1999/2000. During his time at Milano he won 4 Italian Championship titles, in 1990/91, 1991/92, 1994/95 and 1995/96, and the Cup of Italy, in 1994/95. He spent his final season at Crociati Parma Rugby FC in 1999/2000, finishing his career at 36 years old. Pedroni had 25 caps for Italy, from 1989 to 1996, scoring 2 tries, 10 points on aggregate. Amatori Rugby Milano
Amatori Rugby Milano were an Italian rugby union team based in Milan founded in 1927 and disbanded in 2011. Founded in 1927 as part of the football team Ambrosiana-Inter of Milan, the club won the first ever Italian championship in 1929 and ever since have won 18 domestic championships that made them Italy's most titled rugby union team. The club members named themselves Amatori Rugby Milano as soon as Ambrosiana-Inter dropped their rugby union branch in 1929. Between 1993 and 1997 Amatori Milano was part of the A.C. Milan sport club under the ownership of Silvio Berlusconi and won 4 domestic championships. Sporting Union Agen Lot-et-Garonne (), commonly referred to as SU Agen, Agen () or SUALG, is a French professional rugby union club based in Agen, Lot-et-Garonne that competes in the Pro D2, France's second division of rugby. Crociati Parma Rugby F.C. are an Italian rugby union club. They are based in Parma in Emilia-Romagna. They were founded in 2010 by the merger of Rugby Parma F.C. (''Overmach Parma'') and F.C. Rugby Noceto and disbanded in 2014. Rugby Parma ''Rugby Parma'' was founded in 1931 by Gianni Penzi, Mario Pirazzoli and Peter Zini. In the following years the university organized friendly games, then began official competitions. In 1935 Parma joined the Italian first division. 1995 Rugby World Cup
The 1995 Rugby World Cup was the third Rugby World Cup. It was hosted and won by South Africa, and was the first Rugby World Cup in which every match was held in one country. The World Cup was the first major sporting event to take place in South Africa following the end of apartheid. It was also the first World Cup in which South Africa was allowed to compete; the International Rugby Football Board (IRFB, now World Rugby) had only readmitted South Africa to international rugby in 1992, following negotiations to end apartheid.
