Piero Fornasetti
Piero Fornasetti (Milan, 10 November 1913 – Milan, 15 October 1988) was an Italian artist and designer. Biography Piero Fornasetti was born in 1913 into a well-off. middle-class family in Milan. A multifaceted figure in the Italian design, Italian art scene of the twentieth century, Fornasetti was active as a designer, decorator, painter, curator and printer. His works - produced in series but in limited numbers – characterise his eclecticism within the Italian culture of design. During his artistic career, he created over 13,000 works, including a vast production of 20th century objects and furniture, especially in terms of diversity of decorations. Massimo Campigli
Massimo Campigli (; born Max Ihlenfeld, 4 July 189531 May 1971) was an Italian painter and journalist. Biography He was born in Berlin, but spent most of his childhood in Florence. His family moved to Milan in 1909, and here he worked on the ''Letteratura'' magazine, frequenting avant-garde circles and making the acquaintance of Boccioni and Carrà. In 1914 the Futurist magazine ''Lacerba'' published his "Giornale + Strada – Parole in libertà" ("Journal + Road – Words in freedom"). During World War I Campigli was captured and deported to Hungary where he remained a prisoner of war from 1916–18. At the end of the war he moved to Paris where he worked as foreign correspondent for the Milanese daily newspaper '' Corriere della Sera''. The Esino (, la, Aesis) is a river in the Marche region of central Italy. Geography The source of the river is east of Monte Penna in the province of Macerata near the border with the province of Ancona. The river flows east past Esanatoglia and curves north by Matelica before crossing the border into the province of Ancona near Cerreto d'Esi. Aligi Sassu
Aligi Sassu (17 July 1912 – 17 July 2000) was an Italian painter and sculptor. Biography Aligi Sassu was born in Milan, Lombardy. He was the son of Lina Pedretti (from Parma, Emilia) and Antonio Sassu (from Sassari, Sardinia). His father Antonio was one of the founders of the Italian Socialist Party (Partito Socialista Italiano) in Sassari in 1894, and had moved to Milan in 1896, where he married Pedretti in 1911. At the beginning of the 1920s, the Sassu family moved back to Sardinia to Thiesi, where Antonio opened a shop. After three years, the family returned to Milan, where Aligi got interested in art and enrolled to the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
