Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation
The Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation is dedicated to Daniela Ambrosoli’s father, Pierino Ambrosoli, a successful Italian/Swiss industrialist and her mother, Sonja Bragowa, a former dancer in the 1920s. The foundation is not due to the testamentary will of Pierino Ambrosoli. Rather, it arose by the desire of Daniela Ambrosoli, who decided to use a substantial portion of her inherited fortune from the father, to support young artists on their way to the stage. Thus, the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation was founded on May 10, 1990 in Zurich. Purpose The Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation supports very young talented dancers and musicians on their way to the stage for the promotion of dance and music at a professional level through scholarships all over the world at recognized vocational institutions. Theater Rigiblick or Theatersaal Rigiblick is a theatre in the German-speaking Switzerland situated in Zürich-Oberstrass. Built in 1901 as the restaurant ''Rigiblick'', the theater houses mainly guest performances, focussed on the dance theater. The theatre as institution is owned by the government of the city of Zürich, and the building by the Zürcher Frauenverein (ZFV) cooperative. History The ''Rigiblick'' building was built near the upper terminus of the present Seilbahn Rigiblick to house a restaurant with terrace and a large hall. Dominic Antonucci
Dominic Antonucci is a ballet master and ex-principal dancer with the Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB). He was raised in Akron, Ohio, having been born in nearby Athens. The Prix de Lausanne is an international dance competition held annually in Lausanne, Switzerland. The competition is for young dancers seeking to pursue a professional career in classical ballet, and many former prize winners of the competition are now leading stars with major ballet companies around the world.
