Piera Aulagnier
Piera Aulagnier (; née Spairani; November 19, 1923 – March 31, 1990), was a French psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. Her contributions to psychoanalysis include the concepts of interpretative violence, pictogram and originary process. Life and contributions Aulagnier was born in Milan in 1923, and trained in medicine at Rome, before finishing psychiatric training in Paris after 1950. She undertook a training analysis with Jacques Lacan from 1955 to 1961, and followed him in 1964 into the newly formed École freudienne de Paris, where she remained for some time a close confidant. In 1969, however, Aulagnier, Jean-Paul Valabrega and François Perrier split from the EFP over the bitter question of the passe as a qualification for analyst status, and created the Organisation psychanalytique de langue française. Guy Rosolato
Guy Rosolato (1924–2012) was a French psychoanalyst, who was to become president of the Association Psychoanalytique de France (APF). Life, career and contributions Born in Istanbul, Rosolato served with the Free French in the war, before going into analysis with Jacques Lacan in 1953. He became a training analyst with the newly formed Société Française de Psychanalyse, and followed Lacan into the École Freudienne de Paris in 1964. However, during the controversy over the passe later in the decade, he would leave to join other influential ex-Lacanians in the APF. A lover of opera, Rosolato's most distinctive theoretical work concerned the role of the voice in the formation of the body-ego – its role as “acoustic mirror” partway between body and language. Alain De Mijolla
Alain de Mijolla (15 May 1933, in Paris – 24 January 2019) was a French psychoanalyst and psychiatrist. Mijolla was analyzed by Conrad Stein and Denise Braunschweig. He became a psychoanalyst in the Societe psychanalytique de Paris in 1968, and was by 2001 a training analyst there. He also created and chaired the International Association of History of the Psychoanalysis (AIHP), and received the Mary S. Sigourney Award in 2004. He died on 24 January 2019, aged 85. Writings De Mijolla wrote numerous articles and works; he also edited psychoanalytical collections at several publishers, including the three volumes of the ''International Dictionary of Psychoanalysis''. In a 1987 paper on identification in the family, he highlighted how Sigmund Freud's creativity can be linked with his identification with the prestige of his grandfather.
