Piarom
Piarom ( fa, پیارم) is a cultivar of the palm date originating from southern Iran. It is large, with thin, black-brown skin. It is one of the semi-dry date varieties. Many Piarom dates are produced in the vicinity of Hajjiabad, Hormozgan in southern Iran. ''Phoenix'' is a genus of 14 species of Arecaceae, palms, native plant, native to an area starting from the Canary Islands in the west, across northern and central Africa, to the extreme southeast of Europe (Crete), and continuing throughout southern Asia from Turkey east to southern China and Malaysia. The diverse habitats they occupy include swamps, deserts, and mangrove sea coasts. ''Phoenix dactylifera'', commonly known as date or date palm, is a flowering plant species in the palm family, Arecaceae, cultivated for its edible sweet fruit called dates. The species is widely cultivated across northern Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia, and is naturalized in many tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. ''P. dactylifera'' is the type species of genus ''Phoenix (plant), Phoenix'', which contains 12–19 species of wild date palms. Date trees reach up to in height, growing singly or forming a clump with several stems from a single root system. Slow-growing, they can reach over 100 years of age when maintained properly. Date fruits (dates) are oval-cylindrical, long, and about in diameter, with colour ranging from dark brown to bright red or yellow, depending on variety. Mazafati
Mazafati ( fa, مضافتی;, or mozafati and Bam date; also called muzati in Balochi) is a cultivar of the palm date. It is a dark, soft, fleshy and sweet date of medium size, about with a relatively high moisture content of between 32-35%, varying with the time of harvest and the location of the grove. Areas of cultivation It is grown in the region of southern Iran, mainly in Bam, Jiroft, Kahnuj (in Kerman province), Saravan, Nikshahr, Haji Abad, and Iranshahr (in Sistan-o-Baluchestan province), Panjgur, Parom and Buleda in Pakistani province of Balochistan. As one of the largest growing regions of Mazafati dates, Bam region has around of the lands under the harvest, of which about are for young palm trees.
