Pia Kästner
Pia Kästner (born 29 June 1998 in Eisenhüttenstadt) is a German volleyball player. She participated in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. Career Pia Kästner played in her youth league at Eisenhüttenstadt and later at SC Potsdam. From 2013 to 2017, she played with the junior team of VC Olympia Berlin in the second and first Bundesliga, as well as in the junior national team, with them in 2015 at the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship in Peru, and at the 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Hungary. In 2017, she played for Allianz MTV Stuttgart Allianz MTV Stuttgart is a German professional volleyball team based in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. Eisenhüttenstadt
Eisenhüttenstadt (literally "ironworks city" in German; , dsb, Pśibrjog) is a town in the Oder-Spree district of the state of Brandenburg, Germany, on the border with Poland. East Germany founded the city in 1950. It was known as Stalinstadt (''Stalinměsto'') between 1953 and 1961. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League, a new annual international women's volleyball tournament contested by 16 national teams that replaced the former World Grand Prix in the international calendar. The competition was held between May and July 2018, and the final round took place in the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre, Nanjing, China. Six-time World Grand Prix winners, United States won the inaugural edition, defeating Turkey in five sets on the final. 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship
The 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship was the 15th edition of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship (65th edition if the Under-18 and Junior eras are included), the annual European international youth football championship contested by the men's under-19 national teams of UEFA member associations. Germany, which were selected by UEFA on 20 March 2012, hosted the tournament between 11 and 24 July 2016. A total of eight teams competed in the final tournament, with players born on or after 1 January 1997 eligible to participate. Same as previous editions held in even-numbered years, the tournament acted as the UEFA qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
