Pia Glover-Rolle
Pia T. Glover-Rolle (born 18 April 1977) is a Bahamian Progressive Liberal Party politician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist who has been serving as the Bahamian Minister of State for Public Service since 23 September 2021 and the Member of Parliament from Golden Gates. Glover Rolle defeated FNM incumbent Michael Foulkes in the 2021 general election. Career Glover-Rolle is the Founder of PTG Marketing & Modeling Agency and Model and Talent Showcase of the Islands (Island MMTS). Glover-Rolle was ratified as the PLP candidate for the Golden Gates constituency in March 2021. She unseated FNM incumbent Michael Foulkes. Progressive Liberal Party
The Progressive Liberal Party (abbreviated PLP) is a populist and social liberal party in the Bahamas. Philip Davis is the leader of the party. History The PLP was founded in 1953 by William Cartwright, Cyril Stevenson, and Henry Milton Taylor. The PLP was the first national political party in the Bahamas. The party governed for 25 straight years from 1967 to 1992, as well as from 2002 to 2007 and 2012 to 2017. Leading the party to its first victory in 1967 was Lynden Pindling, the country's first Prime Minister. Perry Christie was Prime Minister of the Bahamas between 2 May 2002 and the 2007 general elections when the party was defeated by the rival Free National Movement (FNM) which won 23 seats. Philip Edward "Brave" Davis (born 7 June 1951) is a Bahamian politician serving as the Prime Minister of the Bahamas since 2021. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Cat Island, Rum Cay & San Salvador since May 2002.
