Phoolbagan metro station (or LIC Phoolbagan metro station for sponsorship reasons) is a station of the Kolkata Metro in Phoolbagan, a north neighbourhood of Kolkata, India. The underground station is at the Phoolbagan crossing on the Narkeldanga Main Road. It is near to the Gurudas College and Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Institution. The station opened on 4 October 2020 and commercial services started the next day. Sealdah Metro Station
Sealdah Metro Station is an operational station on Line 2 of the Kolkata Metro, located in Sealdah, Kolkata. The underground station adjoins with the Sealdah railway station of the Indian Railways on its eastern side. The Sealdah Court is on the west side of the station, the Sealdah Flyover (Vidyapati Setu) is on the northern side of the station. There is a pedestrian subway linking the metro station with the railway station. Inauguration In March 2022, The Commissioner of Railway Safety gave his approval for the commencement of commercial operations at this station and the station was likely to be inaugurated on the occasion of Poila Baisakh on 15 April 2022. VIP Road
VIP Road (officially Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue) is a major thoroughfare connecting the city of Kolkata with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Dumdum/Kolkata Airport. Located in the North-Eastern outskirts of the city, it was built in 1962 to provide speedy connection with the city and its sole airport. VIP Road is part of State Highway 3 (West Bengal), State Highway 3. To reduce traffic jams especially in the crossings of Kestopur and Baguiati, a flyover is constructed over the stretch between Dum Dum Park and Raghunathpur, which opened in March 2015. An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation (KMRC) is a Government of India enterprise formed in 2008. The agency was formed to oversee the implementing Kolkata Metro Line 2, also known as East West Metro, connecting the twin cities Kolkata and Howrah. The under construction metro rail route will be partly underground including the part that will be under the river Ganges.
