Phillips West, Minneapolis
Phillips West is a neighborhood within the Phillips community in Minneapolis. Its boundaries are East 22nd Street to the north, Chicago Avenue to the east, East Lake Street to the south, and Interstate 35W to the west. The Phillips community has only been subdivided into smaller neighborhoods within the last couple years; the boundaries of Phillips West were officially designated on April 29, 2005. As this change has been fairly recent, most residents still refer to the area as just "Phillips". The Phillips West Neighborhood Organization (PWNO) holds monthly community meetings (on the 1st Thursday of each month) and PWNO board meetings (on the 4th Monday of each month). The PWNO also plans and hosts the annual Phillips West Winter Social and National Night Out events and participates in the Phillips West and Phillips Clean Sweep events. The Central neighborhood (part of the larger Powderhorn community) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States is located south of the downtown region of the city. It is bounded by Lake Street on the north, Chicago Avenue on the east, 38th Street on the south, and Interstate 35W on the west. Midtown Phillips is a neighborhood within the Phillips community in Minneapolis. Its boundaries are East 24th Street to the north, Bloomington Avenue to the east, East Lake Street to the south, and Chicago Avenue to the west. The community is primarily residential by land use and is home to over 4,700 residents from diverse backgrounds according to the 2010 Census. Prominent employers include the Children's Hospital of Minnesota Minneapolis location, Abbot Northwestern Hospital, and Allina Healthcare Services. Ventura Village, Minneapolis
Ventura Village is a neighborhood within the Phillips community in Minneapolis. Its boundaries are Interstate 35W to the west, Interstate 94 (including the I-94/I-35W bottleneck) to the north, and Hiawatha Avenue to the east. The southern boundary runs (from west to east) along East 22nd Street from I-35W to Chicago Avenue, along East 24th Street from Chicago Avenue to 17th Avenue South, and then back up to 22nd Street from 17th Avenue to Hiawatha Avenue (this portion is only about a block long). Franklin Avenue, which runs east-west, acts as the main commercial artery in the neighborhood. Interstate 35W (I-35W) is an Interstate Highway in the US state of Minnesota, passing through downtown Minneapolis. It is one of two through routes for I-35 through the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, the other being I-35E through downtown Saint Paul. Traveling north, I-35 splits at Burnsville, and the I-35W route runs north for , carrying its own separate sequence of exit numbers.
