Philippines At The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup
The Philippines men's national basketball team played at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup held in Spain. The 24-team tournament began on August 30, and the winner automatically qualifies for the Basketball at the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Philippines qualified for the World Cup by virtue of the silver medal won by 2013 FIBA Asia Championship squads#Group A, their 2013 FIBA Asia Championship squad. Vincent "Chot" P. Reyes (born August 1, 1963) is a Filipino basketball head coach for the TNT Tropang Giga for the Philippine Basketball Association. The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Brock William Motum (born 16 October 1990) is an Australian professional basketball player for Levanga Hokkaido of the Japanese B.League.
