Philipp Herder
Philipp Herder (born 21 October 1992) is a retired German artistic gymnast who represented Germany at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Career In 2011, Herder had a neck injury that required surgery to replace a disk with two fused vertebrae, and he temporarily retired from the sport, but he returned at the 2014 World Championships. Herder competed at the 2015 World Championships and helped the German team finish ninth in the qualification round. Herder competed at the 2016 Olympic Test Event and won the gold medal with the German team which allowed Germany to send a full team to the 2016 Olympic Games. Herder was selected as an alternate for Germany's 2016 Olympic team. Lukas Dauser
Lukas Dauser (born 15 June 1993) is a German male artistic gymnast and a two-time Olympian, having competed at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. He is the 2020 Olympic and 2022 World silver medalist on the parallel bars. Career Dauser became a member of the first German gymnastics league at the age of 19. He formerly trained in Berlin, although he represented two gymnastics clubs – TSV Unterhaching and KTV Straubenhardt from Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. His major international debut came at the 2014 World Championships in Nanjing, PRC. There, he placed eighth as a member of the German squad in the team all-around tournament. Andreas Toba (born 7 October 1990 in Hanover) is a German gymnast. He is a three-time Olympian, having represented Germany at the Gymnastics at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2012, Gymnastics at the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016, and Gymnastics at the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2020 Olympic Games. Personal life Toba is the son of former Romanian-German gymnast Marius Toba, who competed at three Olympic Games from 1988 to 2000. He's currently a student in Hannover. Career Toba started off for TK Hannover and is trained by Reinhard Rückriem. Nils Dunkel (born 20 February 1997) is a German artistic gymnast who represented Germany at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Career Dunkel began gymnastics since his father, Stephan Dunkel, is a coach at the MTV Erfurt club. He competed at the 2014 Junior European Championships and finished twenty-first in the all-around final. He finished fourth in the pommel horse event final. He represented Germany at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics and finished twelfth in the all-around final. Dunkel competed at the 2018 European Championships and helped the German team finish fourth. Individually, he finished fourth in the parallel bars event final. He was not able to compete at the 2019 World Championships due to a foot injury. The 2016 Olympic Gymnastics Test Event, known officially as Aquece Rio 2016, served as the final qualifier to the gymnastics events at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Concerns and criticisms During the test event the FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) raised "serious concerns" regarding the state of preparations for the Summer Olympics.
