Philip McKeon
Philip Anthony McKeon (November 11, 1964 – December 10, 2019) was an American child actor and radio personality, best known for his role as Tommy Hyatt, the son of the title character on the television sitcom ''Alice (American TV series), Alice'' from 1976 to 1985. Early life and family McKeon was born in Westbury, New York, the son of Barbara and Donald McKeon, a travel agent. His younger sister is actress Nancy McKeon. (They are not related to actor Doug McKeon.) McKeon's professional career began when he was 4 years old as a print model. His parents took him and Nancy, then age 2, to a nearby modeling audition, and he began his career as a child model, appearing in magazines, newspapers, and television commercials. ''Insight'' is an American religious-themed weekly anthology series that aired in syndication from October 1960 to 1983. ''Insight'' holds a unique place in the history of public service television programming. Produced by Paulist Productions in Los Angeles, it was an anthology series, using an eclectic set of storytelling forms including comedy, melodrama, and fantasy to explore moral dilemmas. ''CHiPs'' is an American crime drama television series created by Rick Rosner and originally aired on NBC from September 15, 1977, to May 1, 1983. It follows the lives of two motorcycle officers of the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The series ran for 139 episodes over six seasons, plus one reunion television film in October 1998. Robert Getchell
Robert Getchell (December 6, 1936 – October 21, 2017) was an American screenwriter. Getchell wrote the 1974 film '' Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore'' and created the sitcom based on that film, '' Alice''. Getchell was also the screenwriter for the 1981 docudrama film ''Mommie Dearest'' which is based on Christina Crawford's nightmarish childhood with her violent and manipulative alcoholic adoptive mother, the actress Joan Crawford. The film was meant to be taken seriously with a subject concerning child abuse/trafficking however, Getchell's unusual script became over-the-top and unintentionally amusing that it won the 2nd Golden Raspberry award for worst Screenplay which developed ''Mommie Dearest'' into a memorable cult film. He died on 21 October 2017 aged 80.
