Phil Kwabina Davis (born September 25, 1984) is an American mixed martial artist who currently competes as a Light Heavyweight for Bellator MMA, where he is the former Bellator Light Heavyweight World Champion. Prior to signing with Bellator, Davis competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he achieved success as a top 5 Light Heavyweight contender and held a UFC record of 9–3 (1). He is currently ranked as the #5 Light Heavyweight fighter in the world by ranking site Fight Matrix. Davis first gained athletic notoriety in college as a wrestler for Penn State University, where he became an NCAA Division I champion in 2008. Philip Davis (born 30 July 1953) is an English actor, writer, director and narrator. He is perhaps best known for his lead roles in the television dramas ''Whitechapel'' (2009–2013) and ''Silk'' (2012–2014). Early life Davis was born in Highgate, London, and brought up in Thurrock, Essex. His father worked for Procter & Gamble in a soap factory and his mother was a hospital dining room supervisor. From the age of eight, he was interested in acting. He attended Ockendon Courts County Secondary School in South Ockendon, Essex, where he was distracted in class but enjoyed school plays. Philip Davis (March 4, 1906 – 16 December 1964) was an American artist who illustrated ''Mandrake the Magician'', written by Lee Falk. Davis was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Growing up with one sister and one brother, Davis became interested in drawing when he was six years old. "I had a mania for parades," he recalled. "I drew every parade I could see. My family neither encouraged nor discouraged me. They just accepted my dark fate." While attending Washington University in St. Louis, Davis had a part-time job as a draftsman with the technical department of the local telephone company. By 1928, he was working in the art department of the ''St. Louis Post-Dispatch''. He left the newspaper to do magazine illustrations and advertising art. In 1933, Davis met St. Louis advertising agency executive Lee Falk, and the two began their collaboration on ''Mandrake the Magician''. Falk asked Davis to do a dozen panels on spec. Philip James Davis (born 30 August 1990) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Davis was born in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, and lived there until the age of 14 when he relocated with his family to Adelaide. He attended school at Marist College Canberra and then St Peter's College, Adelaide. He was drafted by the Adelaide Crows with the tenth selection in the 2008 AFL Draft. AFL career Davis missed the end of the 2008 and the beginning of the 2009 seasons due to a shoulder injury. Philip Edward "Brave" Davis (born 7 June 1951) is a Bahamian politician serving as the Prime Minister of the Bahamas since 2021. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Cat Island, Rum Cay & San Salvador since May 2002. Davis was Deputy Prime Minister to Perry Christie and Minister of Public Works and Urban Development from 2012 to 2017.
