Philip Broberg
Philip Broberg (born 25 June 2001) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted eighth overall by the Oilers in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Broberg originally played as a youth within the Örebro HK organization before moving to continue in the J20 SuperElit with AIK during the 2017–18 season. As a 17-year-old, he made his professional debut in the HockeyAllsvenskan with AIK in the 2018–19 season. Showing both defensive and offensive instincts, Broberg appeared in 41 games in the regular season posting 2 goals and 9 points. With AIK remaining in the Allsvenskan after qualification, Broberg secured a move to the top flight Swedish Hockey League, agreeing to a one-year contract with Skellefteå AIK on 17 May 2019. 2020 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
The 2020 Ice Hockey World Junior Championships (''2020 WJC'') was the 44th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. It began on December 26, 2019, and ended with the gold medal game being played on January 5, 2020. Canada defeated Russia 4–3 to win the gold medal and their 18th world junior hockey championship. This marks the fourth time that the Czech Republic hosted the WJHC. IIHF World U20 Championship
The IIHF World Junior Championship (WJC), or simply the "World Juniors" in ice hockey circles, is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world. 2020–21 SHL Season
The 2020–21 SHL season was the 46th season of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). The regular season began in September 2020 and ended on 3 April 2021, it was then followed by the playoffs and the relegation playoffs. The league consisted of the 14 teams that competed in the 2019–20 season; because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden, no relegation or promotion took place after the previous season. The Växjö Lakers won the regular season for the third time in club history. In the SHL qualifier, Brynäs IF defeated HV71 in five games to stay in the SHL.
