Philadelphia Union Reserves
Philadelphia Union Reserves were the reserve team for the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer and competed in the East Division of the MLS Reserve League. The team played its home games at Chester Park in Wallingford, Pennsylvania, the home of the Union practice facility. The team's colors are navy blue and gold. First team assistant coach and head coach of Reading United A.C. Brendan Burke was the head coach of the reserve side. Due to the Union's affiliation with the Harrisburg City Islanders, the Union will not field a Reserve team in 2013. History The new MLS Reserve Division was resurrected for the 2011 season, after not having played since 2008. Each team played 10 games against divisional opponents, with clubs being allowed schedule additional games against non-MLS opponents, the League began 20 March 2011 and concluded 16 October 2011. Andreas Chronis ( el, Ανδρέας Χρόνης; born 25 April 1989 in Bayside, Queens, New York) is a Greek-American professional soccer player who currently plays for semi-professional club New York Pancyprian Freedom. Antoine Laurent Hoppenot (born 23 November 1990) is a French footballer who currently plays for Hartford Athletic in the USL Championship. Raymon "Ray" Gaddis (born January 13, 1990) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club FC Cincinnati. College career Gaddis grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, attended North Central High School, and played college soccer at West Virginia from 2009–2011. Zachary "Zach" Pfeffer (born January 6, 1995) is an American former soccer player. In 2010 at the age of 15 he became the fourth-youngest player ever to sign a Major League Soccer contract. He retired from soccer in 2016 at 21 years of age, and was an investment banker with Goldman Sachs and currently works in private equity at Brightstar Capital Partners. Porfirio López Meza (; born September 10, 1985 in San José, Costa Rica) is a Costa Rican professional football player who currently plays for Municipal Perez Zeledon in the Costa Rican Premier Division. James Joseph McLaughlin III (born April 30, 1993) is an American former professional association football, soccer midfielder who most recently played for USL Championship side Louisville City FC, Louisville City. He began his professional career in 2012 as a homegrown player for MLS side Philadelphia Union.
