The Philadelphia Fury was an American soccer team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that last competed in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). The club formerly competed in the American Soccer League and is currently owned by Martin E. Judge and Matt Driver. The team continues to sport the colors of the original NASL team. Kit, crest, and colors Like the team name, the current iteration of the club uses both the original colors and crest of the original North American Soccer League team. History The original Philadelphia Fury was an expansion franchise in the original North American Soccer League and played for three seasons in Veterans Stadium starting in 1978. Among the club's investors were rock musicians Mick Jagger, Rick Wakeman, Peter Frampton and Paul Simon. Montreal Manic
The Montreal Manic or the Manic de Montréal were a professional soccer team based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, that played in the North American Soccer League. The Montreal Manic were brought back in 2020 by Canadian businessman Gary Gaul as an academy with boys and girls from U5 – U23. History "Le Manic" as they were called by the locals, were Montreal's first professional soccer team since the NASL's Montreal Olympique folded in 1973. The team was named after a river in northeast Quebec, the Manicouagan, the site of a massive hydroelectric project. The Philadelphia Union are an American professional soccer club based in Chester, Pennsylvania. The Union compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. Founded on February 28, 2008, the club began playing in 2010 as an expansion team. Philadelphia Atoms SC
The Philadelphia Atoms were an American professional soccer team based out of Glenside, Pennsylvania that played in the American Soccer League (ASL). They were named after, and claimed the heritage of, the original Philadelphia Atoms that played in the North American Soccer League from 1973 to 1976, and won the league championship in their first season. In March 2017 the Philadelphia Atoms were given a second life when the newer squad was admitted into the ASL. The Atoms played for the first time in forty-years on April 1, 2017 versus Mass United FC. They currently play at Jean Lenox Stadium on the campus of Arcadia University.
