Phil Williams is an American politician and businessman from the state of Alabama. He served as a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives representing the 6th District, serving from 2009 to 2018. Early life and education Williams was born in Grassy, an unincorporated place in Marshall County, Alabama, where his family owned an farmhouse. His father was a civil servant and his mother stayed at home, raising five children, of which Phil was the fourth. He graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a degree in international business. Career In 1983, Williams was selected to work as a contract negotiator on the Strategic Defense Initiative under President Ronald Reagan after submitting a job application for the program. Michael Andrew Whitt is an American banker, politician, and a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 6. Whitt is chair of the Economic Development and Tourism committee and the vice chair of the house financial services committee. Rep. Whitt is also a member of the Alabama Commission on the Evaluation of Services. Personal life Whitt is an eighth generation Alabamian and a lifelong resident of Madison County, Al. Huntsville is a city in Madison County, Limestone County, and Morgan County, Alabama, United States. It is the county seat of Madison County. Located in the Appalachian region of northern Alabama, Huntsville is the most populous city in the state.
