Phil Judd (sound Engineer)
Phil Judd (born 1948) is an Australian sound engineer, managing director of PhilmSound Pty. Ltd., who is credited with post-production work on many well-known (mostly Australian) movies and several television series. He is not related to the New Zealand musician Phil Judd. History Judd began his audio engineering career in 1964 at the broadcast studios of 2GB in Sydney as a sound booth panel operator, then in 1967 joined Fauna Productions who were employing production crew for the television series ''Skippy the Bush Kangaroo'', for which incidentally he provided the trademark "tch-tch" voice of "Skippy". Around 1970 he joined Artransa Film Studios, for whom he mixed his first feature film, ''The Adventures of Barry McKenzie'' (1972); another notable film of this period of his life was Peter Weir's ''The Last Wave'', for which he won an Australian Film Institute, AFI award in 1977, after which his name was associated with a great number of Australian movies and TV mini-series. Phil Judd
Philip Raymond Judd (born 20 March 1953) is a New Zealand singer-songwriter known for being one of the founders of the bands Split Enz and The Swingers. Split Enz In 1972, Judd and Tim Finn founded the arty folk band Split Enz. In its early days the band was known for its eccentric behaviour, wacky clothes, makeup and crazy hairstyles. In the early days the band members all adopted their middle names, with the exception of Phil Judd, the only member from that era to use his first name. While the other members of the Enz had hairstyles that were out of the ordinary, Judd chose to shave his head after the release of the first album '' Mental Notes''. After the second album '' Second Thoughts'' was released, tension arose between Judd and Tim Finn. ''The Club'' is a satirical film based on the play of the same name by the Australian playwright and dramatist David Williamson. It follows the fortunes of an Australian rules football club over the course of a season, and explores the clashes of individuals from within the club. It was inspired by the backroom dealings and antics of the Victorian Football League's Collingwood Football Club. The film was produced in 1980, written by Williamson and directed by Bruce Beresford. It stars John Howard, Jack Thompson, Graham Kennedy and Frank Wilson. The film was described as a "hilarious, sharply observed slice of life". Grievous bodily harm (often abbreviated to GBH) is a term used in English criminal law to describe the severest forms of battery. It refers to two offences that are created by sections 18 and 20 of the Offences against the Person Act 1861.
