Phil Healy
Phil Healy (born 19 November 1994) is an Irish athlete competing in sprinting events. Her sister Joan Healy is also a sprinter. She set an Irish 200m national record in July 2018. In the 2018 European Championships, she placed fourth with a time of 23.23. A video of Phil Healy winning the final leg of the 4 x 400 metre Irish University Championships in 2016 went viral around the world. Her winning run is often cited as one of the greatest athletics comebacks of all time. As she turns into the homestretch, having closed much of an 80-metre gap with the lead runners, the TV commentator is heard to shout "UCC from the depths of hell are powering through". Ballineen
The twin villages of Ballineen () and Enniskeane () in County Cork in Ireland are southwest of Cork City, on the R586 road. Ballineen and Enniskean lie on the River Bandon between Bandon and Dunmanway and the fertile Bandon valley. History Ballineen belonged first to the Earls of Cork and later to the Earls of Bandon. Francis Bernard, 3rd Earl of Bandon improved the village in the mid-19th century by building a market house, courthouse, Weslyan Chapel, Gothic church and two schools in the area. Ballineen held monthly fairs until the mid-1960s. Enniskean takes its name from Cian Maol Muadh (later O'Mahony) a local chieftain and has a connection with Brian Boru, the High King of Ireland. Cian married Sábh Brian's daughter and resided at Castlelands, Enniskean. The 2016 European Athletics Championships was held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, between 6 and 10 July 2016. It was the first time the Netherlands hosted the event. Due to 2016 being an Olympic year, there was no racewalking and the marathon competition was replaced by half marathon. The Russian team did not participate due to the suspension of the All-Russia Athletic Federation by the International Association of Athletics Federations.
