Phil Gilbert
Phil Gilbert (born 15 November 1969) is an Australian rules footballer. He played for both the Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne and Fremantle Football Clubs in the Australian Football League. He was drafted from Claremont Football Club, Clarement in the West Australian Football League, WAFL by Melbourne with the 19th selection in the 1991 AFL Draft and played mainly as a defender. He is most frequently remembered as being the player traded by Melbourne to Fremantle in exchange for a pick in the 1994 AFL Draft which was used to recruit the 17-year-old Jeff Farmer (footballer), Jeff Farmer, who would go on to become an All-Australian and score over 400 goals in AFL football. Fremantle would only have 14 games from Gilbert. Mount Barker, Western Australia
Mount Barker is a town on Albany Highway and the administrative centre of the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. Peel Thunder Football Club
The Peel Thunder Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The team is based in Mandurah, Western Australia, with their home ground being Rushton Park. The club joined the WAFL as an expansion team in 1997. Since 2014 Peel have been in a formal alignment with the Fremantle Dockers of the Australian Football League, an arrangement which sees Fremantle's reserve players play for Peel. History Peel Thunder Football Club was formed in 1996 after the West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) granted a ninth licence in the WAFL to the Mandurah-Peel region. The Peel region is one of the nine regions of Western Australia. It is located on the west coast of Western Australia, about south of the state capital, Perth. Garry Hocking
Garry Andrew Hocking (born 8 October 1968) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Tough and skilled in equal measure, Hocking was an integral part of Geelong's midfield who was recognized at both club and League level as one of the finest players of the 1990s, winning club best and fairests, All-Australian honours and finishing top three in the Brownlow Medal vote count on four occasions. Recognizable on the field with his curly brown mullet hairstyle and nicknamed "Buddha", Hocking was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2008, and was also named in Geelong's Team of the Century and Hall of Fame.
