Phil Gifford
Philip Douglas Gifford (born 1947) is a New Zealand sportswriter and broadcaster. He has his own rugby radio show ''Front Row'' on Radio Sport from 8 to 10am on Saturdays. He writes a weekly column in the country's highest circulation weekend paper, ''The Sunday Star-Times'', and is a contributing editor to '' North & South'' magazine. He created the satirical rugby character Loosehead Len in 1973, and has seven books under that name. Gifford has written rugby best-sellers including his book on Alex Wyllie''Grizz, The Legend''(1991, ), which has sold 30,000 copies, making it the biggest-selling New Zealand sports book of the 1990s. He co-hosted a top rating breakfast show with Simon Barnett. The Weakest Link (New Zealand Game Show)
''The Weakest Link'' was a New Zealand game show based on the original version in the United Kingdom. It was broadcast on TV One and was hosted by Louise Wallace. Season one aired on Tuesday nights in 2001, while season two aired in 2002 on weekends. Format This version of the show featured nine contestants competing for prize money of up to twenty thousand New Zealand dollars. The New Zealand general knowledge questions for the show were written by Derek Bolt. In the first seven rounds there was a money tree ($50, $100, $200, $400, $600, $900, $1,200, $1,600, $2,000) with $2,000 as the maximum result. The eighth round was the same, except the winnings were tripled. The show was filmed at Studio West in West Auckland. More FM is a New Zealand radio network that plays hot adult contemporary music. It is operated by MediaWorks New Zealand. More FM broadcasts in 25 centres throughout New Zealand on 81 transmitters with a mix of local and network programming. ZM ( ) is a New Zealand contemporary hit radio network owned by New Zealand Media and Entertainment. It broadcasts 19 markets throughout mainland New Zealand via terrestrial FM, and worldwide via the Internet.
