Phil Creswick
Philip Creswick (born 12 October 1965) is an English musician and songwriter, and a former member of the boy band, Big Fun. Career Creswick initially was a dancer in the ensemble dance troupe Seventh Avenue. He was then a backing vocalist in the boy band, Big Fun, which was active between 1989 and 1994. The group has been described as a precursor to the more famous Take That. Their album, ''A Pocketful of Dreams'', reached number 7 in the UK charts in 1990, while their cover of The Jacksons' "Blame It on the Boogie" reached number 4 in the singles charts. Creswick's later songwriting credits include: Family Fantastic's album ''Nice'' (2000, in collaboration with Jason Creasey and Vince Clarke) and the soundtrack to ''Winning London'' (2001, in collaboration with Nigel Lewis and Vince Clarke). Charlwood
Charlwood is a village and civil parish in the Mole Valley district of Surrey, England. It is immediately northwest of London Gatwick Airport in West Sussex, close west of Horley and north of Crawley. Jive Records was an American independent record label founded by Clive Calder in 1981 as a subsidiary to the Zomba Group. In the US, the label had offices in New York City and Chicago. Jive was best known for its successes with hip hop, R&B, and dance acts in the 1980s and 1990s, along with teen pop and boy bands during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Big Fun (boyband)
Big Fun was a British boy band that was active between 1988 and 1994. The band consisted of Phil Creswick, Mark Gillespie and Jason John (a.k.a. Jason Herbert). They were produced by Stock Aitken Waterman. Career Before they were Big Fun, Creswick and John were in another regroup of Ian Levine's boy band Seventh Avenue with Mark Long. The other member of the group at that time was Steve Crawley who provided lead vocals for the group, and sang live at nightclub appearances across the UK. Other original Big Fun members included Keith Davies from Stretford in Manchester, who went on to star in ''Coronation Street''. Their only album, '' A Pocketful of Dreams'' was released in 1990, and reached the top 10 in the UK Albums Chart. A boy band is loosely defined as a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation. Vince Clarke
Vincent John Martin (born 3 July 1960), known professionally as Vince Clarke, is an English synth-pop musician and songwriter. Clarke has been the main composer and musician of the band Erasure since its inception in 1985, and was previously the main songwriter of several groups, including Depeche Mode, Yazoo (band), Yazoo, and the Assembly. In Erasure he is known for his deadpan and low-key onstage demeanour, often remaining motionless over his keyboard, in sharp contrast to lead vocalist Andy Bell (singer), Andy Bell's animated and hyperactive frontman antics. ''Never Mind the Buzzcocks'' is a British comedy panel game show with a pop music theme. It has aired on Sky Max since September 2021, having originally aired between November 1996 and January 2015 on BBC Two. The original series was first hosted by Mark Lamarr, then by Simon Amstell, and later by a number of guest presenters, with Rhod Gilbert hosting the final series.
