In parapsychology, an apparitional experience is an anomalous experience characterized by the apparent perception of either a living being or an inanimate object without there being any material stimulus for such a perception. Phantasm (band)
Phantasm was an American thrash metal band from Los Angeles, active between 1986 and 1988. The supergroup included several notable members, including early Metallica bassist Ron McGovney, Hirax singer Katon W. De Pena, and prolific drummer Gene Hoglan. The band did not record an album during its period of activity, but issued live and demo material on the 2001 CD ''Wreckage''. History Career In 1986, De Pena convinced McGovney to return to music after the four-year hiatus that followed McGovney's departure from Metallica. They formed Phantasm with young guitarist Rodney Nicholson and Hirax members Carlos Guacio playing guitar and Johny Tabares playing drums. Nathan Williams replaced Guacio later that year. Hoglan, then of Dark Angel, played drums on the 1987 ''Wreckage'' demo cassette, the group's only studio recording. Teenage drummer Jim Korthe joined the group thereafter. Danny Chase
Danny Chase (later called Phantasm) is a fictional superhero in DC Comics publications. Publication history Phantasm first appeared in ''The New Teen Titans'' Annual (vol. 2) #3 and was created by Marv Wolfman. Although Wolfman hoped the character would restore the "teen hero" feel to a group composed mostly of characters in their twenties, Danny was also intended as a comic foil for one of the group's foundational characters, Changeling. Problematically, the character is often portrayed as an overly snide, egotistical brat. Conflicts with Beast Boy were one-sided, with Chase invariably delivering come-uppance. Meanwhile, other members of the team proved prone to commenting on how impressed they are by Chase's cleverness and capability. All of this made him something of a "Mary Sue". This quickly proved unpopular with most fans, and pro and anti-Chase letters sparked heated debate in the letter column. Andrea Beaumont
Andrea Beaumont, also known as the Phantasm, is a fictional character, fictional DC Entertainment supervillain and antiheroine created by Alan Burnett and Paul Dini, and designed by Bruce Timm. Beaumont first appeared as the main antagonist in the 1993 DC Animated Universe, DC Animated Universe (DCAU) film ''Batman: Mask of the Phantasm'', where she was established as the girlfriend-then-ex-fiancée of Batman, Bruce Wayne/Batman prior to and around the time he first began his vigilante career.
