Phamartes
''Phamartes'' is a genus of Asian stick insects in the tribe Necrosciini identified by J Bresseel and J Constant in 2013.Bresseel J, Constant J (2013) ''Zootaxa'' 3741(1): 141-150. As of 2022, species have only been recorded as originating from Vietnam. The genus was named after the Prof. Thai Hong Pham of thVietnam National Museum of Nature( Bảo tàng Thiên nhiên Việt Nam). Description Bresseel and Constant noted that this genus is closely related to ''Oxyartes'', but is "easily distinguishable by the presence of fully developed ''alae,'' or rounded apical tegmina, possibly with protruding humps (whereas all known ''Oxyartes'' species have only tiny wing buds), the head armature, and the split and asymmetrical anal segment, a character previously unknown in Necrosciinae Necrosciinae is a subfamily of the stick insect family Lonchodidae, with its greatest diversity in South-East Asia. The subfamilies Necrosciinae and Lonchodinae, formerly part of Diapheromeridae, wer ...

Stick Insect
The Phasmatodea (also known as Phasmida, Phasmatoptera or Spectra) are an order of insects whose members are variously known as stick insects, stick-bugs, walking sticks, stick animals, or bug sticks. They are also occasionally referred to as Devil's darning needles, although this name is shared by both dragonflies and crane flies. They can be generally referred to as phasmatodeans, phasmids, or ghost insects, with phasmids in the family Phylliidae called leaf insects, leaf-bugs, walking leaves, or bug leaves. The group's name is derived from the Ancient Greek ', meaning an apparition or phantom, referring to their resemblance to vegetation while in fact being animals. Their natural camouflage makes them difficult for predators to detect; still, many species have one of several secondary lines of defense in the form of startle displays, spines or toxic secretions. Stick insects from the genera ''Phryganistria'', ''Ctenomorpha'', and ''Phobaeticus'' include the world's long ...

Tegmen
A tegmen (plural: ''tegmina'') designates the modified leathery front wing on an insect particularly in the orders Dermaptera ( earwigs), Orthoptera (grasshoppers, crickets and similar families), Mantodea (praying mantis), Phasmatodea (stick and leaf insects) and Blattodea (cockroaches). It is also a term used in botany to describe the delicate inner protective layer of a seed, and in zoology to describe a stiff membrane on the upper surface of the crown of a crinoid. In vertebrate anatomy it denotes a plate of thin bone forming the roof of the middle ear. The nature of tegmina The term ''tegmen'' refers to a miscellaneous and arbitrary group of organs in various orders of insects; they certainly are homologous in the sense that they all are derived from insect forewings, but in other senses they are analogous; for example, the evolutionary development of the short elytra of the Dermaptera shared none of the history of the development of tegmina in the Orthoptera, say. Also, ...

It covers 220 km2 and comprises three zones: a strictly protected core area, an administrative area and a buffer zone.
