Peštan
Peštan ( sr, Пештан) is a river of Serbia and right tributary of the Kolubara river near Vreoci. Its length is . It belongs to the Black Sea basin. Geography The river originates on the northern slopes of the Bukulja mountain. It was named after its very sandy riverbed (Serbian ''pesak'', "sand"). Peštan used to be long, and originally flew into the Kolubara at the village of Draževac in the municipality of Obrenovac. Due to the vast works on the lignite surface mining in the Kolubara basin, the river was shortened to , partially channeled and rerouted. The villages located on the river include Rudovci, Mali Crljeni, Burovo, Zeoke and Baroševac. Despite not being a major river, and with all the amelioration works in its basin, Peštan remained a seasonally flooding river, especially in spring, damaging agricultural fields and settlements in its watershed. Kolubara
The Kolubara ( sr-cyr, Колубара, ) is a long river in western Serbia; it is an eastern, right tributary to the Sava river. General overview Kolubara is formed by the two small rivers Obnica and Jablanica. ''Obnica'' is the river in Western Serbia that springs at the foot of the mountain Medvednik. It flows eastward, through the villages of Suvodanje, Bobova, Majinović, Pričević and Zlatarić, and at the city of Valjevo meets the river ''Jablanica'' and forms Kolubara. The Obnica is 25 km long. Jablanica originates on the eastern slopes of the Jablanik mountain, just few kilometers away from Obnica. It curves around Parač mountain and next to the village of Balinović, before it meets Obnica in Valjevo. Jablanica is 21.5 km long. A retention basin, sometimes called a wet pond, wet detention basin, or stormwater management pond (SWMP), is an artificial pond with vegetation around the perimeter and a permanent pool of water in its design. It is used to manage stormwater runoff, for protection against flooding, for erosion control, and to serve as an artificial wetland and improve the water quality in adjacent bodies of water. Obrenovac
Obrenovac ( sr-cyr, Обреновац, ) is a municipality of the city of Belgrade. According to the 2011 census results, the municipality has a population of 71,419 inhabitants, while the urban area has 24,568 inhabitants. The largest Serbian thermal power plant TPP Nikola Tesla is located on the outskirts of the municipality. Obrenovac was also submerged and completely evacuated during the 2014 Southeast Europe floods.
